THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me JOHN MORLEY JEGGO DACOMBE of "Gosfield Cottage" Winkton Christchurch in the County of Hants Gentleman.
1.   I REVOKE all former testamentary dispositions made by me.
2.   I APPOINT my daughters Marianne Rose Dacombe and Margaret Elizabeth Dacombe and my son John Christian Dacombe EXECUTORS AND TRUSTEES (hereinafter called "my Trustees") of this my Will.
3.   I DIRECT that all legacies and devises under this my Will or any Codicil hereto shall be free of death duties.
4.   I GIVE to my said son John Christian Dacombe such of my Plate Cups Papers Books Seals and other articles relating exclusively to the "Dacombe" family.
5.   I GIVE the remainder of my personal effects and all furniture and other articles of household or garden use or ornament also any motor car belonging to me at my death with its accessories to my said two daughters Marianne Rose Dacombe and Margaret Elizabeth Dacombe in equal shares.
6.   I DEVISE to my Trustees my freehold dwellinghouse known as "Gosfield Cottage" Winkton aforesaid UPON TRUST to permit my said two daughters or the survivor of them to have the use thereof while they so long live they keeping the same in repair and properly insured and on the death of the survivor of my said two daughters to hold the same UPON TRUST for my said son absolutely.
7.   ALL THE REST RESIDUE AND REMAINDER of my estate real and personal whatsoever and wheresoever after the payment of my debts funeral and testamentary expenses I GIVE DEVISE AND BEQUEATH to my said children Marianne Rose Dacombe Margaret Elizabeth Dacombe and John Christian Dacombe in equal shares PROVIDED NEVERTHELESS that if any child of mine shall predecease me leaving a child or children him or her surviving who being a son or sons shall attain the age of twenty-one years or being a daughter or daughters shall attain that age or marry then such child or children shall take and if more than one in equal shares the share which his her or their parent would have taken of and in my Residuary Estate if such parent had survived me.  PROVIDED ALSO if my said son shall predecease me leaving a widow him surviving I GIVE to her a Legacy of One thousand pounds and PROVIDED ALSO if all my children and their issue shall predecease me I GIVE DEVISE AND BEQUEATH all the rest residue and remainder of my estate real and personal whatsoever and wheresoever subject to any legacy given by this my Will or any Codicil hereto to my Trustees in trust to sell call in and convert the same into money and after the payment of the Legacy of One thousand pounds to the Trustees of the "Mary Dacombe" Homes of Rest to hold the remainder in trust for the Church Missionary Society Salisbury Square Fleet Street London E.C.4. absolutely.
      I DECLARE that the receipt of the Treasurers for the time being of the foregoing Institutions shall be a sufficient discharge to my Trustees for the said bequests.

1.   I WISH my body to be cremated and my ashes put in the family grave at Wimborne Road Cemetery Bournemouth

2.   I APPOINT <a nephew> and the partners at the date of my death in the firm of LESTER ALDRIDGE of Mill Stream House 6/9 Millhams Street Christchurch Dorset or the firm which at that date has succeeded to and carries on its practice to be the EXECUTORS of this Will and as TRUSTEES of this Will I APPOINT the persons who take out the first Grant of Probate to be made in respect of it

3.   IN this Will the expression "my Trustees" means my executors and the trustees of this Will and of any trust arising under it and includes a sole executor or trustee

4.   I GIVE to <the nephew>

(a)  All my personal chattels ... (including any car I may own at my death) as are not by this Will or any Codicil hereto otherwise specifically disposed of and I HEREBY DECLARE that it is my wish (but without imposing any binding trust or legal obligation) that he should give effect to any memorandum of mine regarding such chattels which is deposited with this Will or left among my papers at my death or failing such memorandum any wishes of which he shall be aware

(b)  All that my share or interest in the freehold properties known as ... to <the nephew> absolutely in the hope (but without imposing any binding trust or legal obligation) that neither of these properties shall be sold by him until the present tenants of them shall leave or die

5.   I MAKE the following gifts free of any tax

(a etc)  To <a long list of individuals> the sum of one thousand pounds each

(h)  To <one individual> the sum of two thousand pounds

(i)  To the Principal and Fellows of St Hilda's College Oxford the sum of one thousand pounds

(j)  To the Parochial Church Council of the parish of St Michael's Sopley Christchurch Dorset the sum of two thousand pounds upon trust for such religious purposes in the said parish as the Parochial Church Council shall in their absolute discretion think fit and I declare that my Trustees shall not be bound to see to or inquire into the application thereof and that the Parochial Church Council shall be entitled at any time to expend the whole capital of the said sum in manner aforesaid

(k)  To the Mary Dacombe Homes of Rest of Burton Christchurch Dorset the sum of two thousand pounds for its general purposes

6.   I GIVE all my estate not by this Will or any Codicil hereto otherwise disposed of and of which I can dispose by Will to my Trustees upon the trusts set out in Form 8 of the Statutory Will Forms 1925 which is hereby incorporated in this Will and shall apply to the whole of my estate (except as aforesaid) and the residue of my estate and the investments and property for the time being representing the same are hereinafter called "my Trust Fund"

7.   MY TRUSTEES shall divide my Trust Fund equally between the United Society for the Propagation of the Gospel of 157 Waterloo Road London SE1 8XA and the Brothers of the First Order of the Society of St Francis of Hilfield Dorchester Dorset for their general purposes

8.   THE receipt of a person who appears to be a proper officer of a charitable benevolent or philanthropic institution or society or body of persons to which a gift is made by this Will or any Codicil hereto shall be a complete discharge to my Trustees and (unless otherwise stated) such gift shall be applied for the general purposes of such institution or society or body of persons

9.   ANY of my Trustees (including a body corporate) who is engaged in any profession or business either alone or in partnership may be employed by my Trustees and shall be entitled to charge and be paid in priority to all other dispositions under this Will or any Codicil hereto all professional and other proper charges for business transacted time spent or acts done by him or his firm in connection with the administration of my estate or the execution of the trusts powers and provisions of this Will or any Codicil hereto including acts which an executor or trustee not engaged in any profession or business could have done personally and to retain commissions received in the normal course of business
